Past Updates
It's November, and the season is coming to an end. I hope everyone had a wonderful year of racing. This year has been a good training year for me. I competed at USAT Sprint Nationals and USAT Age group Nationals for the first time in 7 years. It was nice to be back at that level of racing. My training has been increasing and I am getting my run back finally. Now I'm off to prepare for a great 2010 season. So far on the schedule is the 2010 ITU World Championships.
I have a lot to update on, July I competed at the USAT Sprint triathlon national champs. The weather was nice and I was excited to race. The swim was canceled and we did a duathlon instead of a tri:( I finished in 5th place 1minute behind 1st place. Not what I wanted but I know I would have placed better with a swim! I did one tune up race before Age group nationals where I finished 2nd overall and 1st woman. So close to beating all the men! At USAT Age group nationals I finished 5th yet again(must be my lucky number this year). I had a good swim, a good bike, my run needs some work but I knew that going in. I am happy so far with my comeback and I am excited to keep working my way up!
Happy St Patricks Day, so three months into the new year and I am finally updating. I just installed a new hard drive into my computer so I should be good to go now. On March 9th I competed in my first tri of the year. I went 2:19(a little slow, but not bad for the minimal training), and was the first overall female.
So I've been super busy, since I updated last I have been to Omaha, NE and back to compete in the U.S. Olympic Trials for swimming. The swim meet was a lot of fun! I swam OK, not my best ever but my best times since my accident last year. I competed in the 400 IM, and 200 IM. I was also entered in the 200 Fly, but scratched. I am currently processing the videos and pictures that I took while I was there, for everyone to see. Check back for picture updates.
Long time no update, since I updated last I have completed my first triathlon back since my accident. I completed the Marinleand Spring International Distance Triathlon in 2hours and 15minutes, not bad for my first tri in over a year. I finished 1st Overall Woman, and 5th Overall in the race. Now I am getting ready for Swimming Olympic Trials, which begin June 28th.
